Our Arrival in Sandpoint
It seemed like the stretch from Kuna to Sandpoint was the absolute longest. It rained on us a lot and it started to get darker as we got closer. When we were about 45 minutes away it started to rain so hard we were both having a hard time seeing anything. We planned to stay in our home the first night, but because it was dark and cold we opted to find a hotel, and to start fresh in the morning. We didn't think the hotel would let us have dogs so we had the dogs sleep in the car. In the morning the desk clerk told us that our dogs kept everyone up all night because they barked at everything and everyone...oops! When we arrived at our home the next morning it was muddy and cold and we built a fire right away.
It was Sunday and we had to unload the trailor and the truck because they were due back on Monday. People in our ward had left food for us and we actually had a whole bunch of people show up from our ward to unload everything....such a blessing.
Our home will take a lot of work and time to get it where we want it, but we are doing things as needed right now. Our property is so pretty...lots of flowers, green grass, trees, animals, and lot of work awaiting us. We are happy to be here though...This will be a great place to raise our boys, and it will be even better when we get settled in.
