Bike to school Day!

Max and I decided we would do the "Bike to School Day" Challenge. It was a little harder than we thought, but we made it! 3.5 miles up for Max, 7.0 miles for Mom round trip...My butt was sore for a whole week! It was nice because our neighbor boy is friends with Max and he and his Dad rode with us....It was nice because there are a lot of big dogs along the trail, and we have seen bears, moose, and who knows what other big scary animals are in the trees! I took my mace in case I had an encounter with a dog, and I told Max "If you see a bear coming, just get behind me and I'll figure it out!" It was just nice to know there is strength in numbers! By the way, I haven't mentioned the big huge brown bear we saw in our field....next time we will have the gun sighted in!
