So, I have been posting my adventures on facebook but haven't been so great at blogging lately. I think sometimes facebook is easier because you log on and write a couple things...and done! With blogging I like to sit down and take my time as to what I am actually saying.
Things have been going better. I am getting the hang of my new job, and Jason is doing well at his and he seems to be happier at this job. We have been super busy working on the house and getting the property into shape. The goats have been an awesome addition due to the fact they eat all day and cut our grass for free! We might need more in the spring for all 19 acres!
Jason is building the well house this weekend before it gets too cold. We are starting to feel Fall sneak in....something we are not used to. We have heaters going at our house and we have been wearing our warm clothes already. It might take us a while to get used to the weather out here. It is a big change from the Arizona desert. This past week, a really super nice guy from our ward came out and cut down the huge tree by our house. It was shading the house and making moss grow, it made the house colder, it blocked our view of the mountains, and it made is easy for bugs and animals to get to the house....so we cut it down and it is now being cut into firewood for the winter. It was awesome to see it fall because it was so huge.
We have to contact our neighbor because there is another huge tree that we are afraid might fall on our house (it is next to the one that already fell in our yard) Hopefully they will agree to let us cut it down so I can stop stressing about it.
Max started Soccer and I think it will be a great opportunity for us to get to know more people in the community and families that Max goes to school with. Soccer is not his favorite sport, but he wanted to do something. They don't have a football program here until 3rd grade, so he is excited to start next year. He also wants to do baseball in the fall. I am so glad because I love to watch baseball....well, I love to watch him do anything! I am one of those Moms in the stands saying "that's my baby! That's my baby!"
Eli is starting to climb, and has hit his mouth twice this week. Poor baby, it kills me to see blood come from either of my babies. He is so active and crawls faster when he hears me say "uh-oh." He is such a little ray of sunshine for me. I LOVE his little giggles and facial expressions, Max always cracks up when he giggles because it is just soooo cute!
Being out here has not been a cake walk, but we are adjusting to many things right now. I don't regret our decision to move here....It is pure Heaven when you look around. I especially love the sound of the wind in the trees...I have always loved that sound. It makes me feel close to Heaven, and my little angels that are there. I know that Max and Eli with have a great life here once we work out the kinks (namely the house kinks). I am especially grateful for all the tender mercies Heavenly Father sends me and my family. I recognize that they happen everyday...How loved I feel when these happen.
I have a strong testimony of the power of prayer. Communication with our Heavenly Father is the key to everything. There are times where I pray about something small, and he helps me with it....and he definitely helps me with the big things. There is no other that can help us to accomplish everything that we need to, there is no alli better than our Heavenly Father.
